Paying it Forward: Equipping Lydia’s Perspective on Giving
There are no set fees for Equipping Lydia ministry opportunities. The cost of your retreat experience or spiritual direction will have been covered by others who have previously poured into the ministry. Our desire is that every person would have an opportunity to experience the renewing grace of God regardless of financial situation.
If you are blessed by the ministry, we would ask that you spend a quiet moment in prayer asking God how you are to give back to the ministry. The Spirit may lead you to give a financial offering, or an offering of service to the ministry. Your offering is not a “payment for services rendered.” Grace is not something one can buy. Your gift simply ensures that someone else can be blessed in the future—you are pouring the blessing forward.

If your gift is financial, below are some costs for what Equipping Lydia needs to operate:
- $75 – One person’s spiritual direction ministry appointment or attendance at a retreat
- $250 – One day of ministry operations
- $750 -$1000 – One day retreat
The ministry of Equipping Lydia is based on faith in God’s provision.

If you have appreciated assets such as stock, mutual funds, interest in a business, or real estate, did you know there are additional tax benefits for giving these items instead of cash? Equipping Lydia has set up a ministry fund with National Christian Foundation to be able to receive these type of gifts.

Donate to Equipping Lydia through iGive
Use iGive for your purchases through 700+ online stores (including Amazon.com, EBay, Staples, Pottery Barn, Expedia, and many others), and a portion of your purchase (up to 26%) will be donated to Equipping Lydia. You can also use iSearchiGive as your search engine, and Equipping Lydia will receive $0.01 for each search.
Grocery Shopping: In Kentucky & Tennessee Equipping Lydia now has Kroger Gift Cards that you can purchase from the ministry for $5 (the amount already loaded on the cards). You then load more $ on the card and use it to shop at Kroger. A percentage of the funds will go to Equipping

Tax-Exemption Status
Equipping Lydia, Inc. is a Kentucky non-profit corporation organized and operated exclusively for charitable purposes. As such, the organization is eligible for exemption from federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
In order for donations to Equipping Lydia, Inc. to qualify as a charitable contribution, the donations must not be restricted in terms of receipt by a particular beneficiary of the ministry. Equipping Lydia, Inc. encourages donors to partner in trust with the ministry that all donated funds will be used according to the prayerful discernment of the organization. It will be assumed by Equipping Lydia, Inc. that all donations are unrestricted. In addition, Equipping Lydia, Inc. will apply a portion of every gift towards administrative expenses of the ministry as needed. Information regarding administrative expenses as compared to grants made by Equipping Lydia, Inc. are available on request in the form of the ministry’s required tax filings.
